Academic Advisement Center, Building "U"
The Academic Advisement Center is the advising hub for liberal arts and undecided students. It also coordinates campus-wide advising activities. Students in other majors are advised by faculty in their own academic programs.
LIBERAL ARTS STUDENTS: YOUR ACADEMIC PLAN STARTS AT THE ADVISEMENT CENTER.
Your advisor is available to discuss your educational experience, goals and plans during all stages of your enrollment at NCC. Think of your advisor as your partner in success. Take advantage of the knowledge and resources you’ll find at the Advisement Center to learn about courses, degree options, requirements for programs and concentrations, and resources at the College that can support your education.
There is a major increase in student traffic preceding a new semester. Therefore, the Hours of Operation that are posted for the Student Service areas do not take into account that during peak registration periods, sign-in for advisement may stop earlier than the posted closing time. We will accommodate as many students as possible.
Exception by number of remedial courses to be completed:
Currently attending or returning Liberal Arts students with two or three remedial courses to be completed should contact the office of the Department of Student Personnel Services at 516.572.7506 for hours or please visit Building M (Nassau Hall), Room 11.
